House in Beaconsfield – Maison à Beaconsfield

House in Beaconsfield

I saw this scene through a window at the McDonald’s at St-Charles just above Beaconsfield boulevard. Today was actually a dully grey day. The sky appeared white and lifeless. However, I somehow saw this scene as brighter than it actually appeared. Is it not the prerogative of the artist to alter the feeling of the day if he wishes? Painted in the small Moleskine watercolor sketch book – 3 1/2″ x 10
