The Little Tea Pot – Nature morte au thé

9 The Little Tea Pot

No watercolor paper is perfect. That is the challenge, adapting to what the paper can or can’t do. In the case of Moleskine paper, in my opinion, the paper is not a good one for laying flat washes. It has other great qualities, but I have yet to have any success laying down a flat even wash, except for black on this paper. Black has no tone so just lay one coat on top of the other. Therefore, this little exercise in sketching a little corner of a room disappointingly left the back walls, well, textured? Otherwise I had fun playing with these colors.
